Current trustees

Chair: Revd Jonathan William Sewell (Appointed 15 May 2017  for a period of 3 years until 15 May 2020, reappointed February 2020 for a 3 year period to AGM 2023. Reappointed February 2023 for a further 3 year period to AGM 2026). 

Treasurer: Mrs Carol Slinger (Appointed 4 November 2015, reappointed on 26 November 2018 for 3 years until AGM 2021. Reappointed on 15th February 2021 for 3 years to AGM 2024. Reappointed on 19th February 2024 for 3 years to AGM 2027)

Secretary: Ms Debbie Tracy Storr (Appointed 23 January 2017, reappointed in February 2019 for 3 years until AGM 2022.  Reappointed in February 2022 for 3 years to AGM 2025)

Mr Nick Mannion (Appointed 15 February 2021 for a period of 3 years to AGM 2024. Reappointed on 19th February 2024 for 3 years to AGM 2027). 

Ms Susanna Felicitas Dart, (Co-opted 1st November 2023. Appointed 19th February 2024 for a period of 3 years to AGM 2027).

Founding trustees

The founding trustees of Halton Lune Hydro at the time of its establishment in 2014 were:

John Urry, Professor of Sociology at Lancaster University (died March 2016). 

Peter Lambson, a former aircraft engineer, latterly Director of Technology at Morecambe High School. (retired 15 February 2021). 

Chris Baxter, an engineer specialising in energy (resigned 23 January 2017).

Ronald Hepwood, a farmer and Parish Councillor (resigned 4 November 2015).

Trustees’ Confidentiality Protocol
This confidentiality protocol details the approach of the Trustees of Halton Lune Trust to the handling of
confidential information held in respect of grant applications. The protocol applies to all
trustees. It will be reviewed annually to ensure that it remains effective and relevant.
Importance of Confidentiality
The Trust is responsible for the administration of grants for public benefit within and around
the Parish of Halton with Aughton, in line with the objectives of the Halton Lune Trust and
under Charity commission rules. Grant applications may contain confidential financial
information, and meetings held to discuss individual applications are considered confidential.
The Trustees will:
– Not discuss or disclose confidential information with any third party outside of the
Trust unless the express consent of the trust has been obtained
– Handle information received from another provider sensitively and confidentially;
– Ensure that confidential information is stored securely
Grant Distribution
The Trust will make public the details of the grants distributed and the nature of the
applications received
